Happy Endings

Coney (previously named Dwight) is one of the saddest cases but also one of the ones that makes us happier to have helped save.

Coney was run over by a car in Guatemala when we has a few months old. Worst of all, he was left for dead on the street. He was rescued by a nice person that brought him to the shelter at AWARE. After months of recovery we flew him over to Seattle, WA. Coney was adopted on March 2013 by a loving couple where he is treated with dignity and love. Through all this turmoil in his life he was always playful and loving.
Ashley (previously named Samira) was abandoned at a vet clinic in Antigua Guatemala with her litter of puppies. The owners never came back, who knows why. All her puppies were adopted by nice families but Ashley was sent to the dog shelter at AWARE.

Ashley spent a few months at the shelter until we brought her over to Seattle, WA to her forever home. Ashley is now loved and cared by a young couple. Ashley was placed in March 2013.
Miley (previously named Oprah) was rescued from the streets in Guatemala with horrible machete injuries on her back. Though we will never know exactly what happened and who could have done such a horrible thing, we know Miley was rescued in really bad shape. Both physically and emotionally.

Miley spent many months at AWARE's shelter in Guatemala until we brought her to a forever home in United States. Miley currently lives in Port Orchard, WA and is treated as a family member.

Piper was a homeless dog for who knows how long. Poor Piper was rescued from the cruel streets of Guatemala at half her weight and very timid and frightened.

Piper spent many months at AWARE's shelter in Guatemala until she was a healthy girl. We then brought her to Seattle, WA and currently lives in a great home where she is spoiled and loved very much.
