There are two easy ways to become an animal savior and aid a homeless animal in need. You can either support the current urgent case or you can sign up to become a monthly sponsor for an abandoned animal. Either way, 100% of your donation goes towards assisting the animal in need. 1. Current Urgent Cases
We work on a case by case basis. We assist the grass roots rescue groups with the difficult cases they handle, one at a time. Since these change frequently we post them on Facebook. Please visit our Facebook page to support them

2. Become a Monthly Sponsor
The following are all dogs and cats that are safe and sound from the cruel streets. They do not have to struggle to survive. They do not have to avoid cars running them over or cruel people attacking them. They do not have to stand more days, months or even years with no shelter, food or water.

These animals already live in a shelter. Some of them have special needs due to their past. These animals all live in rural Guatemala under the care of one of the groups we support - Animal AWARE.

Mohack A sweet adult that came to the shelter a few years ago. He has a great personality and got his name due to his cute hair. Sesam Was rescued with a huge machete injury on her back. She was laying on a market and growled at anyone that approached her. Lots of love and treatment allowed her to heal. Carinotono Is a senior dog. His senior owner recently passed away and he came to the shelter. Sadly he was overfed and not exercised and came to the shelter with extreme obesity to the point that walking was hard. He's walking more and eating less and his weight is starting to get controlled. Pen 8 For $30 you can help feed, shelter and pay for basic medical needs for these homeless dogs: Rejona (the one with the beautiful eyes) was left tied at the gate. She's around 5 years old and very kind Lalo (shy pup all the way to the left) is only 2 years of age and was abused by his former owner. He had horrible skin issues due to mange but has fully healed. Asberi is the black female of 5 years of age. She's very kind and loves to be petted. Mecanico Mecanico is a very sad story. He was recently rescued and was found on the streets on his own. It is very likely that he was used as a "bait dog" to support dog fights. He has horrible skin injuries and scars and he is very strong. He is around 3-years old. Despite everything he is very mellow and kind to others. Jenny Jenny is a big girl of around 18 months of age. She was born at the shelter and has lived there ever since with her mom and her sibling Kelita (see below). Jenny is very playful and kind. Nanche Nanche is 4-years old and sadly has spent most of his life at the shelter since he arrived there at just four months of age. Nanche is very kind and never gets in trouble. Abby Abby is around 3-years old and has been at the shelter for half her life. She arrived pregnant and had a litter of 8 puppies just two weeks after rescued (all but one were adopted). Yaya Yaya is a 7-year old dog that has been at the shelter for two years. She has a very special "character" (i.e. likes to bark and doesn't trust many people or other dogs). For that reason, she gets special treatment and spends most of her time by the clinic and not in the pens with the rest. She appointed herself as the "guardian" of the shelter. Lucilo (Senior) He is a senior homeless dog living at the shelter since quite some time now. he is very calm, mellow and kind. He is always ready for a petting session and likes to follow people around. He lives at the senior section at the shelter and gets along well with all other dogs. Pavaroti (Senior) Pavaroti in an 11-year old male dog. He had untreated mange for a while before he was rescued. Even though this was treated and he is healthier now he lost a lot of hair that never grew back. Pavaroti lives in the senior section at the shelter and he requires special food for senior dogs. Grillo A beautiful young male rescued from the streets in horrible conditions. He was just wandering on the hills with his mom and two siblings, scrapping for food. All four were brought to the shelter, treated and placed in homes. Grillo did not have that luck due to the intense skin issues he had due to untreated mange. Grillo is currently healthy and lives in a pen with seven other dogs. Grillo just needs monetary support for food and regular/basic medical needs. Feed 8 dogs (Pen CL3) Animal AWARE in Guatemala is the largest no-kill shelter in Central America. They house around 400 homeless animals at any given time. They rely 100% on donations.
