People Saving Animals is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable organization incorporated in 2013. We are a small group of volunteers on a mission to help homeless animals in great need in less fortunate nations. We are 100% volunteer-based.
The mission of People Saving Animals is to alleviate the suffering of homeless animals in great need and to prevent suffering and homelessness from happening in the first place.
People Saving Animals raises funds from the public to help homeless animals in need. We do this by partnering with other rescue groups and shelters. Our three main areas of focus are rescue, sponsorships, and sterilization clinics. Read more here.
We don't have a physical location for business. We were incorporated in Washington State and are also registered in Oregon State. We operate from our homes in Oregon, Washington, California, and Guatemala.

You can help homeless animals by donating. You can donate to urgent cases, make a one-time donation, or set up monthly donations. See the details on our donate page.
You can also help by following us on social media and sharing the fundraisers we have open. See details on Facebook and Instagram.
Yes. We don't process donations directly on our website. We use established and secure payment processors like PayPal, Stripe, and Venmo.
100% of your donation (minus the payment processor fee) goes to the animal you donate.
We don't have any costs since we are 100% volunteer-based. We have no overhead, do not pay salaries, nor do we have an office or a shelter. The only expenses we incur are payments for advertising on Facebook and Instagram but we fund those separately.
Yes. Transparency of where your donation goes is a key priority for us. We believe in the power of showing the positive impact of your generous monetary donations. Therefore, we put a lot of effort into providing our donors with updates via email and social media on the animals they have helped. See some examples on our before & after page.
No. The animals our partners rescue get treatment immediately. They have solid relationships with veterinarians and those offer credit. However, the outstanding bills are high and there is always a lack of funds.
Also, unfortunately, there are countless animals that we are not able to help and take in due to the lack of funds.
We work with a small number of partners in Central America and we have had relationships with them for over a decade. In most cases, we pay the veterinary clinic directly. And for every transaction, we have proper documentation and receipts.
Our founder and our volunteers have separate and lucrative careers. We do this for the love of the animals in our "free time". Read more here.
