We work on a case-by-case basis. Once we commit to helping one animal and fundraising we will not stop. Never. It is only when we finish that we fundraise for more. Here are some of the recent animals we have fundraised for.
Meet Zelda, a brave 3-month-old homeless kitty who suffered a heartbreaking accident. Hit by a car, she sustained a serious jaw fracture that required immediate surgery. Zelda is a warrior.
In October 2024 our brave partners and volunteers ventured on more time into a remote and rural location in Guatemala to sterilize 40+ homeless dogs and cats to prevent so much suffering.
Wera was just a puppy when she was run over by a car and left for dead by the side of a busy highway. She suffered fractures on both femurs, and she could only drag herself. She required surgery to fix both femurs.
Azabache gave birth in deplorable conditions to seven puppies. Apparently, she had "owners" who neglected her. Unfortunately, two of them were too sick already and died immediately after rescue.
Unfortunately, due to the severity of her injuries, when rescued the vet confirmed it was too late and the leg couldn't be saved and had to be amputated.
Vincent was rescued on a sidewalk by a bus stop. He was so weak he could barely move. He had terrible anemia, Ehrlichiosis (blood parasites transmitted by ticks), and heartworm (transmitted by mosquitoes).
Macarena was rescued from the streets with horrible tumors on her forehead. The tumors had to be removed immediately to avoid risking her life. She is a sweetheart and is currently living at the shelter.
The clinic was on Aug 9, 2024, in rural Guatemala. The community is named Aldea Montufar. It is an impoverished area with dirt roads and limited water and electricity, where most residents live in poverty.
Sassy was rescued with a leg fracture. Orthopedic surgery was required to save and repair the leg. This princess had a chance to a new life thanks to all the amazing people who donated.
One of our partners in Guatemala is a shelter with around 400 homeless dogs and cats at any moment and they have very limited resources. This was a combined fundraiser to help some of them with vet care.
Miguel was found barely alive in an empty lot with a dislocated jaw due to 2 fractures. Apparently, a cruel person did it. He was young and tiny. We raised the funds for his surgery and this little warrior is doing well.
Queeny was rescued from the streets with a jaw fracture. She weighed less than 5 lbs. and was younger than four months. She required surgery where a metal wire is placed to fix the mandible in its proper place.
This is a story of sadness and hope. Two female dogs had "owners", but they were irresponsible and let them on the streets. After being rescued, they gave birth to 11 puppies that became sick with parvo.
Mignone is a tiny homeless kitty rescued from the streets with a horrible wound on her cheek. She was likely bitten or cut. The vet cleaned the wound frequently and she required a long stay at the vet.
Hela had a tumor the size of a ping-pong ball on her leg. It had to be removed completely via surgery due to cancer risk. Her surgery was successful and she lives at a shelter in rural Guatemala.
Alu was homeless when she developed three breast tumors that required surgery since they were huge and potentially cancerous. The surgery was successful but a follow-up procedure was needed
In May 2024 we kept our efforts to prevent animal suffering by sterilizing 40 homeless dogs and cats in rural Guatemala. The community was named San Miguel Petapa and is in extreme poverty.
Panchito is a young adult rescued from the streets with a separated scapula on his shoulder due to trauma - likely he was hit by a car or abused. He also had a terrible blood infection and a venereal tumor.
Noah had a terrible start to his life. At just 7 months old, he was rescued with a shattered leg. To save his leg, immediate surgery was required for the insertion of a bone plate. He is very mellow and strong!
Polly was only 4 months old when she was run over by a car. She suffered an exposed femur fracture. Unfortunately, it was too late and the leg had to be amputated. But this is not stopping this princess.
On January 31, 2024, we performed our sterilization clinic #77 in rural Guatemala. The target was to sterilize 40+ animals from a very poor community called Cerro Alto which is of extreme poverty.
At just around three months of age, he was rescued from the streets with two leg fractures. He was so weak due to severe anemia but fortunately, he fought his way back to life with two orthopedic surgeries.
Bella was just a puppy when she was viciously attacked by other dogs. The wound got so infected that she developed a terrible bacterial infection called a flesh-eating disease that required a complex treatment.
Canoli found herself on the floor and unable to walk or even stand up. She had severe diarrhea and a fever. She requires a relatively complex and long treatment of neural therapy to walk again.
Manchas was only seven months old when rescued. His leg was deformed due to an untreated fracture. He had skin problems and undernourishment and required surgery to remove stones from his urethra.
Manga was hit by a car. A bystander heard her screaming and aided her. The vet confirmed a jaw fracture that required surgery to place a metal wire to fix the mandible in its proper place.
Kenya is a young adult hound rescued from the streets with a femur fracture. After vet evaluation, it was confirmed that she needed surgery to place orthopedic implants in order to save the leg. She also had anemia.
On December 1, 2023, in rural Guatemala, we performed our sterilization clinic #76 to help prevent the suffering of homeless dogs and cats. The location is a very poor community at Puente del Incienso.
This was a combined fundraiser to help three homeless dogs in need. Jengibre has a bad eye injury due to trauma. Loopie & Doodle have severe skin problems due to different allergies causing severe discomfort.
Koba was homeless when rescued with a horrible venereal tumor that had exploded. The poor girl was dripping blood all over the place. She also had two haemoparasites in her blood transmitted by ticks.
Hermes was only two months old when he was a victim of human cruelty. He was thrown inside a bag in a cold water puddle at the house of one of our partners. He had a horrible eye perforation caused by trauma.
Periwinkle is a young puppy with a horrible tumor on his back leg. This tumor had to be extracted via surgery and he had to be placed on a special dress to compress the wound for several weeks.
Part of Latin Americans spay and neuter day (castralat) on October 4th, we raised the funds to sterilize 40 homeless dogs and cats. This clinic occurred in rural Guatemala in Aldea San Luis, San Pedro Ayampuc.
Coqueta is a young homeless pup rescued from the streets with a fracture on her front right leg. She was hit by a car and left for dead. Coqueta had to go on surgery to place an orthopedic plate and screws.
Jossie is a sweet adult rescued from the streets and currently living at a shelter. She suffered an injury on her cervical vertebrae and couldn't walk on her own. She required neural therapy for several weeks.
Our founder - Walter - dedicated his first 100-mile trail run to help 100 animals in need. The race was hard and Walter finished but most importantly 100 animals were sterilized.

Fito is a young pup rescued from the streets with both femurs fractured. He underwent surgery with orthopedic implants in both legs. The process was long and expensive but Fito made it. He is a warrior.
This was a combined fundraiser to help Carpacho and six of his friends at the shelter in rural Guatemala. They all had different health problems that required proper veterinary attention.
Dayanna is a Chow Chow mix rescued from the streets after she was hit by a car and was left for dead. She dragged herself to safety until rescued. She had multiple fractures in her legs and an injured jaw.
Callie Kay was rescued from the streets with a deep cut on her snout (probably caused by a machete), where you could even see her nostrils. She had difficulty breathing and the cut already presented an infection.
Rolfie, at two months of age, was left inside a plastic bag by the car of the director of one of the rescue groups we work with. He did not asphyxiate by luck. He had anemia, skin problems, malnutrition, and dehydration.
